Race is on.  I didn't have the time to put together some fun stuff in AutoAdmin like I had hoped, but we'll run a race at Texas so that you can pay back your team owner some of the money you've cost him.

We will run 4 stages for the race.  All pretty close in number of laps.

Race times are as they always are.  No special events to deal with.  Just a fun night of racing.

PostForum: AOR Pro Cup Invitational Posted: Fri Feb 11, 2022 5:18 pm Subject: Duel1 Confusion
In Duel1 there was some question about whether the Lucky Dog was correctly identified on Lap 14 (14minutes and 41 seconds into the race).

At the end of the night we had several drivers review the incident to see if the AutoAdmin program had made an error.
After reviewing the incident it was determined that AutoAdmin made the correct call.
Here's a breakdown of what happened:
  • On Lap 6 the 88 and 40 got together causing both cars to spin.
  • The 88 pitted on Lap 8 and went a lap down while in the pits.
  • On Lap 13 the 81 car popped the motor coming out of turn 4 and turned immediately into the pits for service.
  • The 81's crew was able to make repairs and sent him back out onto the track now 1 lap down but ahead of the 88.
  • The repairs didn't hold and the engine expired as the 81 was leaving the pits.
  • This brought out the yellow freezing the field at the time the yellow was displayed.
  • At the time the yellow was displayed, the 81 was ahead of the 88 thus being the Lucky Dog.

I hope that clears up some of the confusion.

Remember that the field is frozen at the point the yellow flag is displayed.
The Lucky Dog is determined right at that point.
Also remember, if the Lucky Dog is the one to bring out the caution, he will not be eligible and there will be no Lucky Dog.

Also during the post event discussion, I was asked to make it clear that since we use the AutoAdmin program to police our races, whatever AutoAdmin says goes.
This doesn't mean that if a driver feels a wrong call was made that it won't be reviewed, it just means that at the time the call is made, do what you're told.
We will continue to review any challenges and improve the code if problems are found.

Correct.  When the GameLauncher runs the NR2003 program, it specifies the track name in the startup parameters so the program doesn't need to load a list of tracks, it just opens the track it was told.

That said, remember that if you race elsewhere and run the NR2003.exe like we used to, you will still have the limit restriction.

I actually ignore it and just let the GameLauncher start my game.  I have 156 tracks in my tracks folder.

Hey guys.
Mom passed away early this morning.  I thought I might be back this week but now I'm unsure of where I'll be and when.  It appears that the racing has kept on going so keep it up.  I'll be back as soon as I can get a handle on everything that needs to be addressed.

Hey guys.
Brett is going through some rough times with his wife's illness right now.

Let's reach out and give him some support and let him know that all of us here at AOR are thinking of him and have his back.
It's the little things like a quick message that can help folks with their next step forward.

We're on you side, Brett!
