Pro cup guys, after years and years of trying I still cant get steady driving without using steering assistance,  I've tried reducing the linearity and making major changes to my caster and steering ratio settings in my setups but I continue to lack good control.  I continue to wander all over the track and if I move the wheel to correct it it over corrects making it impossible to stay in a straight line and therefore constantly on the edge of losing control or getting into someone who's next to me.. I know it makes many of you scared to be near me and I don't blame you.  If your using a G27 please tell me

1. what your global device settings are in your logitech profiler
2.  Your in game linearity setting
3.  What your typical steering ratio and caster settings are (my steering ration is normally 32-28 at most tracks and most of  my setups have 6.00LF and -200 RF caster)

I'm beginning to think my problem may lie in one of the above things and not me..or at least I hope. If not and I can't get better control I may just have to drop from the series. I don't want to but I don't want be another hazard for you guys each week.

Thanks in advance

Thanks again to all of the gang that turned out for the first LMDR race of the season,  Nine drivers on a Wednesday night was terrific and we were missing a few guys that we expected to be there.  The track was tough and the race turned out to be a bit of a cluster f**k but I feel like we still had fun.  I'm sure not all of the tracks will be as, shall we say, challenging. Very Happy  I know I mentioned it twice during the race but I will once again ask that if you happen to find an asphalt track setup that, with some changes, works well let everyone know before each race so folks can come up with the best possible setup for them.  CU all at Knoxville this coming week.

Having "been there and done that" I know that right now you're probably pretty worried about what's to come.  Unlike us "professional on line racers" who have honed our racing skills on a game, your doctors have not honed their skills on the old kids game Operation.  They have years of training and experience that you can count on (just try to avoid calling any of them sandbaggers or mfers before your surgery).  After your bypass surgery do exactly what they'll tell you to do and do not do what they tell you not to do and I assure you all will be well.  Once you're done you will join me and others as a member of the "zipper chest" club.  Until then you'll be in my prayers.

Has anyone done any practicing on this track?  If so, if I can ask, what kind of lap speeds/times are you turning?  In my early efforts I find it very difficult to get a handle on and the grip is pretty bad. Thanks is advance.

Thanks Larry. Small turn out but at least we had enough to race,  Speeds were faster than I thought they'd be. The race was certainly challenging snd to go fast it took more than just putting the gas on the floor.  Looking forward to the next time you put another dirtLM track on the schedule and hopefully more guys will come try it out.

I'm glad you're doing this.  It'll give us a chance to see if running the series this winter will draw enough interest to make it worthwhile.

I see Mag has scheduled Fulton Speedway (358 Fulton) for this Sundays race.  If you're undecided as to whether you want to run in the Dirt Late Model Series this coming winter (if it comes about) here is your chance to try it out. You will need to download and install the dirt LM mod.  As for a setup, all of the 358 dirt tracks come with a decent starter setup but you can come up with something faster.  I hope to see most if not all of the PSRL regulars there on Sunday.

I was just thinking about how drivers picked the car number they run.  There's got to be a reason/story I'm sure.  As for me, when I started racing back in 1998 I couldn't figure out what number I should use.  I told my youngest son who then said "Dad that's easy.  We live in Alaska the 49th state so your number should be 49.  And so it has been since.  Is there a story behind your number?

Thanks Larry.  I'm still giving it some thought.  I want this series to be first and foremost FUN.  My thinking is its never much fun when you get damaged beyond being competitive or worse knocked out of the race.  However, I can't disagree with you.  Like Forest Gump said "stupid is as stupid does" and we all can be pretty stupid at times.

Agree Jeff.  The only things I like are the digital dash, the mirror appears to be improved, and the ability to change the color of the guages.
