I met with the series admins and we've decided to try something out to deal with the 'bogus' black flags that happen from time to time in the races.
(NOTE: I'm not a fan of this, but the admins convinced me otherwise.)

Here's what we will temporarily put in place to see how it works.

If a driver feels the game has given him an undeserved black flag, he'll let the admin know and the flag will be cleared as soon as the game allows.
Once the results have been posted, the driver must log a protest for that race selecting the 'Bogus Black Flag' reason and the lap the incident happened. (*1)
The incident will be reviewed by the series admin(s).
If the admins feel the black flag was correctly issued, the driver finishing position will be changed to the end of the lap he finished on. If he won the race, the win (and any bonus points for the win) will be taken away.

(*1) - If no protest is logged post race, the black flag will be assumed valid

This process is for game issued black flags only. It does not apply to AutoAdmin issued black flags.

We'll put this process in place immediately and see how it works.

I think this is a great idea. We all know the game does make mistakes and these mistakes should be fixed. If a person abuses this then I agree with the punishment. Having the protest is a good idea. It gives the party involved time to review the replay and make the right decision.
